Compact laser safety shutter for industrial applications

Development of a compact and reliable laser safety shutter for integration into industrial laser cells. The system acts as an active safety component, instantly and mechanically blocking the laser beam in the event of a safety interruption (e.g., opening of safety doors). The module is designed for continuous operation in automated manufacturing environments and can be flexibly adapted to various laser sources.

  • Laser Aperture: Ø 14 mm

  • Power Source: Purely electrical (no compressed air required)

  • Actuator: Linear solenoid

  • Sensors: Inductive proximity switch

  • Operating Logic: Normally closed (Fail-safe – closes automatically upon power failure)
