Development of a high-precision custom machine for the automated removal of vulcanization flash on radial shaft seals. The non-contact process utilizes fiber laser technology to ensure a clean cut at the tool parting line without causing thermal damage to the sealing lip.

  • Application: Trimming of FKM seals (inner diameter 70 - 90 mm).

  • Material Thickness (Cut Thickness): Up to 2 mm (vulcanization flash).

  • Laser Source: Fiber laser.

  • Beam Delivery: Fiber optic cable with integrated collimator.

  • Optics: Beam diameter 7 mm (input), focal diameter < 0.2 mm.

  • Cycle Time: Approx. 4 - 6 sec. per component.
