Compact Test Rig for the Characterization of Dynamic Radial Shaft Seals (RSS)

Development of a specialized test rig for the investigation of leakage, wear, and service life of dynamic seals under realistic conditions. The system comprises a pressure-resistant chamber (up to 20 bar) filled with a test medium and pressurized via a compressor. A central rotating shaft simulates high operating speeds, while seal performance is evaluated through precise gravimetric leakage measurement and temperature monitoring.

Prüfdruck: Variabel einstellbar bis zu 20 bar via Kompressor-Anschluss. Drehzahl: bis zu 1.500 U/min zur Simulation hoher Umfangsgeschwindigkeiten.Messgrößen: Leckagerate (gravimetrisch), Reibungswärme, Verschleißbild (Welle/Dichtlippe) und Lebensdauer. Aufbau: Druckkammer mit Wasser/Luft-Gemisch, wechselbare Wellendurchmesser und Riemenantrieb Prüfmedien: Wasser, Luft
